Egress Windows
In order to meet fire and building codes in most jurisdictions, the window must have a clear opening of 5.7 square feet. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways:
Vinyl Casement Window
This is the most cost effective egress window option, but it does come with its drawbacks. Since this window needs to swing outward to open, physical obstructions within the well can prevent the egress window from opening.

The Escape™ Egress Window

This Mid-range vinyl window is our most popular and offers the most capability. During daily use, the window operates as a standard single hung window. During emergency situations, with the throw of a lever, the entire egress window swings inward to provide 5.9 square feet of clear exit.

Transom / Above-Egress Windows
For additional natural light, a transom window can be installed above the egress window. Note: for proper fitment, the installation of a transom window requires the use of a St. Paul Corrugating well with the Safe-T-View™ well cover.
Vinyl Horizontal Slider Window
This is our largest and most expensive option. This egress window offers the largest amount of natural light, but requires a larger rough opening, with addition of framing material and potentially additional masonry work (depending on sizing).

Window Wells
While there are a number of ways to retain the soil in the egress area & shield your new egress window from the elements, our one piece formed & precast well offerings bring the best value to your home. Aesthetically pleasing and made to last!
