After my college student moved back home, we needed to set up living space in our basement. When it was time for the window to be installed, he and his co-worker were on time and worked diligently and quietly throughout the two days it took to install the window and replace existing paneling. They were extremely conscientious around a large front garden that I have and were professional in every way. I appreciated the care they took around my home while working here.

We loved working with Frank! We are so happy with our decision to have Frank and his team install our egress window in our home. Our basement has poured concrete walls and I knew the cutting and demolition would be a little more involved than with a traditional block basement. Amazingly, our basement was in the same condition when the project was complete as when they arrived. There was no dust inside the basement, our grass looked great due to Frank’s meticulous process with his machines and material to protect our yard. Spring of 2018, I had Just Egress install a basement egress system. We have a very challenging site with conditions such as fences, extremely wet soil approach, hard packed clay, a tall tree and roots and to top it off the main 200 amp power supply for the house right next to where the window was going to be put.

It was evident from the first phone call, emails and site visit that Just Egress could handle the challenging conditions. He arrived with many pictures of past installs, window options and well options. He clearly explained what needed to happen and how it was to happen. He accommodated our building inspectors request for a clean out in addition to working closing with Fairport Electric to get the power turned off and back on in one day.
The day of the install he arrived on time with a professional crew got to work. They were prepared for unexpected events (none happened!). They followed the process they said and completed the job in less than the time they expected. The site was cleaned up inside and out. They also communicated during install the progress. The use of boards prevented yard damage and within a day you could not tell they were here other than the new egress window!
Over the past year we have finished out the basement and the window still looks great and functions. We have had no water issues or any issues from the install. I highly recommend them for the quality products they use, there communication from start to finish, there professionalism and most important the high quality job they did under very challenging circumstances.
A few months back, you provided us with names of contractors who might be able to install a basement egress window for us. One of the contractors was Frank Miccoli of Alta Bella Casa, Inc. and we could not be happier with our decision to work with Frank on this project. Frank was very courteous and professional from the start. He offered us egress options and was knowledgeable, helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. As the project got underway and unexpected issues arose (as they almost always do), Frank had the skills and was willing to address the issues so that we could keep moving forward. We are very pleased with the quality of Frank’s work – both the “heavy” construction (demolition, excavation, window install, etc.) as well as the finer, interior finish work. He was respectful of our home and property (as well as our neighbor’s), always careful to make as little mess as possible and where mess was unavoidable, he cleaned it up. In addition, he coordinated all inspections and ran interference for us with the inspectors. It was a real pleasure to encounter an honest, hard-working contractor, who does what he says he’ll do (and then some) and who stands behind his work.

Frank did the job himself with the help of one other person. Most of the estimates I received had people subbing the job out to someone else and did not know the job as well as Frank.
I was very impressed on the quality of the job as well. When working on a basement window, the concern I had was to ensure the basement will be dry. Frank took extra steps that the majority of the other estimates I had would not do. He dug to the base of the foundation to ensure proper drainage and did the piping to specifications.
After considerable frustration with trying to schedule other contractors, we reached out to Frank at Alta Bella Casa, Inc. for a quote on the installation of an egress window. Frank was refreshingly transparent, competent and communicative. He thoroughly explained each step of the installation and he even gave thoughtful advice about other planned renovations. He also kept us updated about the timeline of the project. His team was professional, considerate and exceptionally efficient when an unexpected issue arose during the installation.
More importantly, we could not be happier with the finished product! Our basement window has appropriate drainage but is also beautifully finished to match the room walls. Our basement room is now *actually* functional for our family.
